David McMillan, Stranraer, has been re-appointed as chairman of Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership.
Robert Higgins, also from Stranraer, has been appointed as vice chairman.
This is the fourth year David, an independent member of DGHP, will be chairman.
It is the second year Robert, also an independent member, has been vice-chair.
David said: “I am absolutely delighted to be reappointed as chairman of DGHP.
I have enjoyed the last year however, everything that we achieve as an organisation is thanks to the board of management, all of the staff at DGHP and also the tenants.
“I am looking forward to working alongside Robert for another year and to see what the next 12 months brings.”
Robert said: “I am delighted to have been re-elected as vice chairman of DGHP.
I’m looking forward to continue working with David on the continuous improvement of DGHP.”
The two were elected after a ballot by the full board of management at a meeting this week.
David, who was born in Drummore, spent 25 years with Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary where he retired as Detective Inspector.
Since retiring he was involved in voluntary work with the Scottish Health Council, as a justice of the peace and for the last several years he has been chairman of the children’s panel.
Robert enjoys playing golf at Wigtownshire County Golf Club in his spare time.
