BLADNOCH’S very own fiercely independent record label, Distilled Records, will be showcasing some of its talent on Friday 26th October at The Vintage Lounge, Dumfries.

Local roots heroes Steve Dowling and The Obliviates will be headlining the night and celebrating the release of their second album, Lord Of Nowhere.

The six-piece received praise in the national as well as local media for first album Urchin and hope to build on this with the second record.

Also on the bill is Distilled Records’ latest signing, Steven Finn. Once described as the best acoustic blues guitarist on two legs, the London-based singer is in the area recording his second album at Unit 7 Studios.

Distilled Records’ Zoë Bestel will also feature on this very strong bill. The CD format of her debut single, 35 Missed Calls, having now almost sold out, Zoë is in the studio (again at Unit 7 with producer Huey) recording the follow up.

Also joining in on the night is good friend and champion of Distilled Records, Bruce McKenzie. Since starting a musical journey of a different kind, Bruce has racked up a number of high-profile gigs and is going from strength to strength as a writer and performer.

Please support your local music scene and join what promises to be an excellent night of original music.
