Jailed for attack on pensioner

A Stranraer man has been jailed for almost four years after attacking a pensioner in her home on August 30 and stealing £120, as well as dealing drugs.

David Forsyth, 30, was 
found guilty following a three-week trial at Stranraer Sheriff Court in which 
the jury heard he banged on the 85-year-old’s door wearing a mask and gloves, barged in, grabbed her wrists causing her to fall to the floor, kicked her on the body repeatedly and cut her phone wires so she couldn’t call for help. He was jailed for 44 months.
