A new decked outdoor area at Merse House care home has been opened by the Kirkcudbright Rotary Club president.
A ribbon was cut on 28 September by President of Kirkcudbright Rotary Club Jean Best, marking the decking officially open.
The Rotary Club have worked in partnership with friends and family to raise money to provide an outside area which will ensure that all residents will have the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the views across the estuary.
Also at the event were Karen Sheridan Managing Director Scotland and Martin Holmes Regional Manager South Scotland CIC.
Residents and guests were treated to a celebration drink and refreshments.
All were enjoyed out on the decking in the wonderful September sunshine.
Eileen Devlin, current manager of Merse House, was thrilled with the outcome, even the weather was first class.
