An urgent appeal has gone out to help trace a timid, frightened former rescue dog who has been missing for more than a week in Wigtownshire.
Skye is a two-year-old Border collie who went missing from Bridge Lodge in Monreith, on October 22. Skye was spotted in Monreith on Thursday, after following a man with two dogs, then running off into the woods.
Her family came here for a holiday from Manchester. They have extended their visit so they can stay until Thursday when they must return home.
On Tuesday she was spotted near Glenluce Antiques Centre based at Dervaird Farm, just off the A75. There were two sightings, one on Monday night and another at 8.45am on Tuesday. She was seen running on the grass at the side of the A75.
The main problem is that Skye is an extremely timid dog. Syke was a cruelty case, as she was locked in a shed for much of her young life. She may be hiding, as she will be terrified.
Her family will be devastated if Skye has not been found. If you see her, please call Carol urgently on 07825685957. Skye is so terrified that she will not go to anyone else.
