The Energy Agency has now received more than 1200 inquiries from Dumfries and Galloway residents in relation to free energy advice and insulation measures which are on offer through Scottish government funding which was awarded to Dumfries and Galloway Council.
As the managing agent of the project, the Energy Agency has come across a lot of householders interested in receiving the free insulation measures but have concerns about upheaval. However, both the cavity wall and loft insulation measures that are being offered free through the scheme are quick and easy to install and can be done within a matter of a few hours.
For those who simply can’t get up into their loft, there is support available through the free insulation scheme to assist with loft clearance – simply mention your requirement for this assistance at the time of survey.
There is still time to apply to receive these free measures before the funding deadline of March 31. Applications for the scheme can be made easily by phoning free on 0800 512 012 or apply online at www.energyagency.org.uk.
