Festival of Praise at Ardwell

The annual Festival of Praise, bringing church choirs together to perform two songs of their choice, took place at Ardwell Church last Sunday evening.

The six choirs taking part sang to a full house, with standing room only.

Taking part were Old Luce Choir who sang What is Love? and You make my heart feel glad, followed by Kirkmaiden Choir who sang What a friend we have in Jesus and Shall we gather at the river.

Trinity Choir Medley sang Just as I am, Spirit of God, Now the day is over and Be still. Ardwell choir sang Knowing you, Jesus and The Lord’s my shepherd” whilst Leswalt/Kirkcolm Choir sang Bridge over troubled water and Jesus is risen, Alleluia. Last to perform were Whithorn Priory Choir who sang All in an April evening and There is a balm in Gilead.

The Rev. Mel Griffiths led the service and tea and refreshments were provided afterwards, prepared and served by members of the Ardwell congregation and choir.
