Ahead of Thursday’s Scottish Parliamentary Elections let’s hear from all the candidates vying for the Galloway and West Dumfries seat.
First up it’s Finlay Carson, the Scottish Conservative candidate.
Mr Carson said: “I am honoured to be standing as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate here in Galloway and West Dumfries. For the past 17 years this area has been so ably represented by Alex Fergusson and I am asking you to give me the privilege of following in his footsteps.
“Galloway and West Dumfries is my home - I was born here, raised my family here and run a business in partnership with my brother from the heart of the constituency. I care deeply about our region’s future and that is why, at the start of this election campaign, I launched my six-point plan to boost job creation, particularly for our young people, and encourage inward investment. For too long, our region has felt like a forgotten corner of Scotland and if elected as your MSP next Thursday I will stand up for our local communities and fight against further centralisation.
“During this election I have been speaking to people about the issues that matter to them – health, education, transport and many more. It is clear to me that this constituency needs a strong local champion in the Scottish Parliament and I can do that for you – Vote Local Vote Carson.”
