They join over 250 other Scottish tourism businesses exhibiting to hundreds of tour operators from across the world. The expo takes place at Glasgow’s SECC on April 2 and 3 and is in its 35th year providing a fantastic opportunity for face-to-face meetings with those who organise holiday itineraries to Scotland.

VisitScotland Regional Director, Paula McDonald, said: “As Scotland welcomes the world this year, with the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Ryder Cup and Homecoming 2014, VisitScotland expo will be the perfect opportunity for exhibitors from Dumfries & Galloway to showcase their products and services to potential buyers from around the globe.

“VisitScotland expo provides local businesses with a fantastic opportunity to engage with tour operators and suppliers from all over the UK and overseas. We couldn’t make these trips happen without the support of the Dumfries and Galloway businesses and we are incredibly grateful to have the support of the industry to welcome these important buyers.”

This spotlight on Dumfries and Galloway coincides with the region’s teaming up with Northern Ireland as part of the Commonwealth Games Support a Second Team initiative which is a perfect opportunity to boost the profile of the region to the Irish market.
