David McKeevor, aged 45, from Newton Stewart pled guilty to sending the messages to Fiona McCutcheon between April 27 and 28 this year.
Fiscal depute Paula Forbes said the police had been called after the complainer became concerned with the content and the number of texts she was receiving from the accused. McKeevor’s solicitor Margot Nicol said her client and the complainer had been living apart but were now reconciled and were living together in Creetown. She said the argument had been over “a minor matter” and trouble could have been avoided if the amount of alcohol the accused had drunk was not linked to the huge number of texts he sent. She added that McKeevor was “old enough to know there are ways to avoid behaviour like this.”
