A twenty-four year old woman was warned by a sheriff that committing one more driving offence would mean the loss of her licence.
Robyn Wallace, Blairshinnoch Farm, Whauphill, appeared for sentencing at the sheriff court in Stranraer on Tuesday after admitting causing a crash on the A714 on January 10 this year.
The accused pled guilty to driving without due care and attention approximately 75 metres south of the junction with the service entrance to Carse of Clary Farm when she overtook a bus before colliding with a Volvo car coming in the opposite direction. Both the car driven by Wallace and the Volvo were damaged in the incident which happened around 7.20pm. The accused’s solicitor David Orr told the court that his client was “very sorry” about the accident and was grateful that only vehicles were damaged.
Along with her warning, Sheriff Mhairi Mactaggart told Wallace that she was fining her £300 and endorsing her driving licence with seven penalty points.
