Bladnoch-based music label Distilled Records have recently welcomed Dumfries band, Sticks and Stones, to their label. A young trio of teenagers who describe their music as ‘delicate but dirty folk’, Sticks and Stones can already hold an audience for a full set of original, intelligent and sparky songs.

Aiden Halliday’s material, and his unabashed delivery impresses with its maturity and conviction, and with Angus Bruce (keys) and Peter Wall (electric guitar) combine to produce a high energy and engrossing sound.

Distilled Records plan to release Sticks and Stones’ debut album in 2014 to be recorded at Unit 7 Studio (Bladnoch) but in the meantime, the band will be writing and gigging the first of thise at this year’s Comlongon Rocks Festival taking place 17, 18 and 19 May - more information on Sticks and Stones can be found on Facebook or via www.distilledrecords.com
