The inaugural Newton Stewart Traditional and Acoustic Music festival kicks off next Friday with a programme of names to rival many long-standing events.
Bringing two days of music, sessions, open mics, workshops and singing from July 4, tickets are limited and selling fast for what is already proving to be a boost for the town .
With performances from Robyn Stapleton, Zoe Bestel, Ross Couper and Tom Oakes, the weekend is putting the town on the musical map.
Festival director NathonJones said: “We are absolutely delighted with the interest the festival has generated so far and the support we have received from local businesses and the local community has been first class.
“We already have groups confirmed as coming from Liverpool, Belfast and Moffat who have all booked accommodation and on social media and via our website there continues to be a buzz about the event. If you are interested in attending any of our concert events then please book early as we have had a lot of interest so far. “
Events will take place at various local pubs and venues as well as outdoor sessions.
