David Tyson has received recognition for his service to mountain rescue

David joined Galloway Mountain Rescue Team in 1995 and for the last 25 years has been a dedicated operational team member and longstanding member of the committee.

David has pretty much held every role within the organsisation over the years including team leader and deputy team leader.

Up until October 2020 he was the team’s secretary and he is now the treasurer and a trustee.

He regularly volunteers to run the teams training sessions, and carried out work that contributed to the rollout of SARCALL throughout Scotland
