Creetown Primary School holds Scottish evening

The pupil council of Creetown Primary organised a Scottish Evening which was held on 21st February.

Pupil council chair and vice-chair, Angus and Eilidh, said: “The evening was a huge success as the Haggis was piped in by Amy Ritchie and addressed by Mr W McCulloch. There were poetry recitals from Nursery to P7. Each class sang a Scots song. There was Highland Dancing from Paula Davis’ Highland Dancers. Some children entertained by playing Scottish pieces on the violin and tin whistles and a group of P6/7s sang The Dark Island. At interval the company enjoyed a delicious serving of Haggis (donated by Wm Lindsay the local butcher) neeps and tatties. The evening ended with the company singing Auld Lang Syne.”
