Creetown development rejected

A HOLIDAY park owner’s plan to build 68 homes on the outskirts of Creetown has been turned down after an appeal to the Scottish Government.

Alister Henryson-Caird, owner of the Castle Cary Holiday Park, wanted to build the homes on land next to Park Crescent in the village, but plans he submitted last year were rejected by the Stewartry Area Committee.

He appealed to Scottish Ministers but Reporter Ronald Jackson, who investigated the application, said this week that there were serious road safety concerns with the proposals.
