Probably one of the biggest crowds for many years turned out in Creetown’s Adamson Square to bring in the New Year last week.
The event was sponsored once again by the Creetown Business Association, supplying hot soup and sausages rolls for the partygoers. From around 11.15pm, music was played in the square for all to dance away 2013.
After the bells at midnight, piper Karen Keenan gave a few Scottish tunes as all wished each other a Happy New Year.
The group, estimated to be around 300-strong, dodged the weather at the time of the bells as it let up for a while.
