Countown on to find best Young Scots

The countdown is on for people in Dumfries and Galloway to nominate local young heroes for the Young Scot Awards 2015.

Communities across Scotland are being urged to nominate an inspirational young person aged 11-26 who has made a positive difference to the lives of others.

For the past nine years the Young Scot Awards have been a phenomenal success, recognising the amazing achievements of some of Scotland’s truly remarkable young people.

The 2015 awards mark the 10th annual Young Scot Awards with categories including Community, Cultural Diversity, Enterprise, Unsung Hero, Volunteering, Sport, Entertainment and The Arts.

Nominations can be submitted via until midnight 27 February 2015.

Winners will be announced at a glittering red carpet award ceremony on 30 April at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
