Wigtownshire Chamber of Commerce has three new board members. They are Sandi McKinnon, Wolf Richthofen and Jim Doran.
Sandi is part of the Glenluce and Whitecairn Holiday Park team specialising in finance and marketing. Originally from Canada, she moved to the UK in 1982, successfully creating, developing and managing two businesses before moving to the Wigtownshire area in 2003.
Experience in retail, self-catering and the holiday park sectors and as a former director of Destination Dumfries and Galloway, Sandi has developed several successful collaborative marketing projects and continues to work with industry members to create a stronger marketing image for all in our region.
Wolf served as chairman of the former Stranraer and District Chamber of Commerce on two occasions prior to its merger with Wigtownshire Chamber in January. He has a particular interest in Stranraer’s maritime history, the Stranraer waterfront and in renewables. He is a founder member of the Stranraer Armed Forces Day which has become an annual event. He also runs his own web development business and is based in Ardwell.
Jim spent his career in the plastics industry and is a polymer chemist. He owns the Torrs Warren Country House Hotel and has lived in Stoneykirk for the past seven years. He is also a director of the South Rhins Community Trust.
Chamber president Peter Jeal said that he was delighted to welcome Sandi, Wolf and Jim onto the board of directors. Their knowledge, skills and experience will enhance the chamber’s ability to support member businesses and promote the economic interests of Wigtownshire.
