Cash raised for SANDS

Penninghame Primary and the Douglas Ewart High School who raised over £800 during a fun packed activity morning last week.

This will be added to the pot of funds that has already been raised in the community by the charity’s local champions, Fran and Roger Docherty, along with scores of local people who are backing their fundraising campaign.

Fran offered thanks and said they had been overwhelmed with the generosity shown by the community.

The funds help with the upkeep of the bereavement suite in Creswell and towards establishing memorials gardens in St Michael’s churchyard in Dumfries and Glebe Cemetery in Stranraer.  It will also be used to purchase memory boxes and support the continuation of Dumfries and Galloway’s 24 hour mobile helpline.
