The Carrick Centre in Maybole has been awarded four-star accreditation by VisitScotland in recognition of its ‘excellent standard’ of services to the community. The centre, which opened in January 2012, is located next to Maybole railway station and was built to provide a multi-purpose venue for the community of North Carrick and visitors to the area.
Andrea Hutchison, centre manager said: “We are delighted with this award in recognition of the hard work and effort put in by our whole team.
“We are extremely grateful to our volunteers, customers, local businesses and friends whose support has helped us get where we are today and we look forward to their on-going support which will enable us to continue providing an excellent service and build on it for the future.”
The Carrick Centre welcomes all visitors offering a welcoming, flexible space to meet, play, learn, and do business. It offers a wide variety of activities, events and opportunities to suit all ages. The next open event will be held on Friday at 6.30pm when Maybole Parish Church and The Carrick Centre are having a family fun night. Admittance is free and all ages can enjoy games, activities, stalls and refreshments with pony rides one of the star attractions.
