Caravan fire in Creetown confined to bedroom

Fire crews were called to the scene of a blaze on Friday morning after a static caravan caught fire in Creetown.

The cause of the fire is as yet unknown, but two fire trucks from Newton Stewart arrived on scene at around 9.15am to find the bedroom of the caravan ablaze.

They managed to contain it to the bedroom and used thermal imaging equipment to make the area safe. No one was injured and officers left the site shortly afterwards. The cause is under investigation.
