National Milk Records are holding an open day about future proofing milk herds at Baltier Farm, Whithorn, by kind permission of the Forsyth family, on Thursday, August 25th, starting at 10.30am.
A spokesperson for NMR said: “Come and join us for our Farm Walk at Baltier Farm, home to 550 Holsteins which are averaging 12,700kg and calving all year round. There are considerable investments on the farm with the most recent being an anaerobic digester. There will be presentations, trade stands and livestock judging will also be happening throughout the day.
Come along at 10.30am for tea and coffee, a hog roast will also be served for lunch!”
