Blade brandished on Stranraer street

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an incident in Stranraer in which a blade was allegedly brandished.

At around 11pm on Saturday, a disturbance kicked off in Glebe Street in the town between a number of people and a 22-year old local male sustained an injury to his hand.

As a result of enquiries into the incident, a 25-year old male from Irvine was arrested and was due to appear in Stranraer Sheriff Court today (Monday).

But police would like to hear from anyone else who was in Glebe Street or driving through it at the time of this incident. They can be contacted on 0845 600 5701 or information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers.0hrs on Saturday 29 and 10.00hrs on Sunday 30 September.
