Bishop-Elect William Nolan was in Kilmarnock recently to meet local priests involved in his ordination this February.
Father Nolan will be ordained as the eighth Bishop of Galloway on Saturday, 14th February at 11am in the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock to allow as many people as possible attend the ceremony.
He is currently parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, East Kilbride and Vicar General of the Diocese of Motherwell. He is looking forward to working with the clergy and people of the diocese.
He said: “My personal thought is that a call from God seems to involve journeying from where we are to someplace else.
“It did for Mary and Joseph and it does so now for me. It can involve the upheaval of moving on, but the best place to be is where God wants us to be.”
