Big Lit sees big names for weekend

Tickets are now on sale for The Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival’s BIG LIT in Gatehouse if Fleet on May 17th and 18th .

Wall to wall literature related events will take place across the town .

For bird watchers the Award Winning bird writer Mark Cocker will be at The Murray Arms , actress Cheryl Campbell will be revisiting her starring role as Vera Brittain in the BBC’s Award Winning Testament of Youth, The Bakehouse studio will host another crazy Bill Barlow participative ‘happening’ for young and old alike and there will focus on the Pictish findings on Trusty’s Hill with Pictish Scholar and writer Stuart McHardy.

Local talent Alan McClure and comedienne Viv Groskop will feature followed by the welcome return of Alan Franks.
