A75 to close for resurfacing at Dumfries bypass
Dumfries bypass will be closed to traffic this weekend to allow for resurfacing works.
The A75 route will see traffic instead diverted through Dumfries town centre from 7pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.
Scotland TranServ says the £350,000 project adds to the £4m that has already been invested by Transport Scotland across Dumfries and Galloway’s trunk road network over the last 12 months.
To keep road users and roadworkers safe, a total closure will be implemented in both directions between Edinburgh Road Roundabout and Lockerbie Road Roundabout.
Eastbound diversion will be in place via Glasgow Street, Buccleuch Street, Loreburn Street, English Street and A780 Annan Road.
Westbound diversion will be in place via A780 Annan Road, Shakespeare Street, White Sands and Glasgow Street.
