NHS Cancer Drop-In Centres in Newton Stewart and Stranraer are now offering theraputic yoga specifically for the people who use the centres.
Johnny has delivered a variety of bespoke one to one and group sessions to service users of the cancer Drop In Centre over the last several years. Yoga therapy is the application of specific yoga practices for people with particular health challenges. These practices can include breathing exercises, movements, relaxation techniques and meditation to bring about a state of ease conducive to healing. Yoga therapy can support and nurture people who are affected by cancer in their efforts to cope with the disease and their treatment.
The Cancer Drop-In Centre in Newton Stewart is located in the Riverside Day centre and in the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.
The yoga classes will start in Newton Stewart on Thursday, June 2, from 10am to 12 noon and run for five weeks.
