The annual Kirkcudbright Parade took place last Saturday and, despite a few light showers, it attracted hundreds onto the streets to watch as it made its way through the town.

With floats depicting the Kirkcudbright Bridge, Disney’s ‘Frozen’ and characters from the Rocky Horror Show to name a few, the procession was awash with colour and the community effort was clear.

With the parade having made its way to the Harbour Square, it was fun and games for all with bouncy castles, a beer tent, BBQ, stalls and entertainment. The town’s summer festivities programme draws to a close on Saturday (tomorrow) with the Kirkcudbright Tattoo and Fireworks Display which attractes thousands to the town.
