RG Contracting based at Low Drumskeog Farm, Port William, had a great day at Wednesday’s Wigtown Show winning the best trade stand and the tug o’ war competition!
The company, owned by Russell Gaw, also raised money for a cancer charity with a prize draw and their stand was busy all day with the combination of innovation and good food attracting the crowds.
Lorraine Gaw said: “We were delighted to win Best Trade Stand at Wigtown yesterday. We also won The Tug o War for the second year!
“We decided to do a trade stand this year to celebrate Russell being in business for 20 years and as a thank you to customers old and new. We had cream teas in the morning from 10-12, then canapés and champagne from 12-2, tea coffee and refreshments served all day.
One of the stand highlights was the showing of the drone footage of our silage team at work on a big screen and we will be uploading this to Youtube and our Facebook page..
“We had prize draws in the marquee - Claas pedal Tractor - kindly donated by James Gordon Engineers was won by Anne McGaw, New Holland Pedal Tractor - Kindly donated by LLoyd Ltd was won by Michelle Saunders and an RG Contracting boiler suit was won by Yvonne Griffin.
“We raised the fantastic amount of £217 to go to the Cancer Drop In Centre, Newton Stewart and Stranraer.
