Five long months after being flooded, Inspirations shop will re-open with suitable fanfare tomorrow at 10am.
The popular fashion and haberdashery shop in Victoria Street, Newton Stewart, has been owned and run by Roseanne Lowther for 25 years, and one of her most faithful customers since day one, Wendy Scott, will do the honours.
Sitting in the beautifully refurbished shop, Roseanne reflected: “What I have to do now is look to the future. If we get flooded again I don’t think I could go through it all again! I wouldn’t have the energy. There were 70 business affected and some of them nay never open again.
“I asked Wendy to cut the ribbon on Saturday as she has been involved with the shop from the start. She’s one of my regular models for fashion shows to raise money for charity down the years, she even modelled on crutches!”
