The Rotary Club of Newton Stewart are preparing for their annual bonfire night extravaganza, taking place this Sunday, 6th November at Blairmount Park, Newton Stewart.
The evening gets off to a glittering start with mask making and crafts provided by Newton Stewart Initiative, a burger stall by Friends of Penninghame School and other community and charity stalls around the park when gates open at 5.15pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, with a cracking fireworks display lighting the sky at 7pm. Wrap up, warm yourself by the glowing bonfire, and enjoy the whizz, crackle and bang of the spectacular and colourful display. Entry costs £5. Children free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Funds raised will support the 2017 bonfire night event, with all profit donated to the Club’s current campaign for children and young people in Dumfries and Galloway living with Type 1 Diabetes. Find out more about Insulin Pump Therapy at the event.
A big thank you is extended to Dumfries and Galloway Council, local businesses and individuals who have offered their support to the Bonfire Night event, to help create an evening of entertainment, excitement and sparkle for the whole community.
