Pupils entertain with Scottish celebration and Burns Supper

There were some fantastic events at Gardenrose Primary recently.

Primaries five and six at Gardenrose Primary held a Scottish afternoon of entertainment and sang songs including ‘Sam the Skull’.

Primary seven held a fantastic Burns Supper for family and friends.

Jobs/roles were Compere – Rory; Bagpipes - Jamie; Address to the Haggis – Cameron; Selkirk Grace – Katie Boyd;

Dancers – Aimee Ellie Harvey Kiera Lucy Kay Grace; Piano recital – Dominic Katie Watson; Immortal Memory – Ewan (Kiera) Max Ruaridh; Singing - Flash Mob; Toast to the Lassies – Harry Ollie; Reply from Lassies – Lucy Aimee Ellie; Table planners, Jake William Tyler Marcus Kyle Steven; Invitations, Kiera Katie; Place names, Ben; Place mats Kay Georgie Ollie Adam Ellie McGill Dominic and Music, Iain.

Primaries three and four held a successful Scottish Celebration with family and friends as an audience.

Everyone enjoyed special performances with Andy and Julie Fulton playing bagpipes and the drum.

Murray Patrick entertained the guests with the accordion and Wallace Galbraith played the fiddle.

The children sang the ‘Jellie Piece’ song, Coulter’s Candy and Cannie Shove Yer Grannie Aff a Bus. The children also performed some dances including the Circassian Circle and Strip the Willow.
