The Port William Panto company were celebrating another resounding success when their latest offering ‘Port Land’ brought the house down.
Robin Kinnear, who has witnesses many a pantomime over the years, on stage oand off commented Port land was: “The best one yet!”
The Panto Co members pulled it off once again and with the biggest cast to date, the most colourful and professional costumes, new ‘blacks’ for the stage - the Port community did itself proud.
Based upon nursery rhyme characters with usual ‘Port’ twists, eg. Mother Luce - an audience of around 130 people each performance proved that “He’s behind you” and “Oh yes it is” are still an integral part of any panto. If a panto didn’t have audience participation it wouldn’t be a pantomime.
The Panto Co are sad to see 4 members leaving for pastures new and wish them well in their new adventures.
