Miss Lorna Cannon from Wigtown Primary will be this year’s Princess at the town’s community festival which starts next Saturday, July 22.
Mrs Kirsty Andrews, Head Teacher at Wigtown Primary School will open the festival and crown the Princess and Councillor Jim McColm will commentate the day’s events.
The Festival week starts on Saturday 22nd July with the crowning of the Princess followed by the Riding of the Marches.
This year will also see the Wigtown Food Festival take place over the same weekend – Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd.
Events for the Festival Week include:
Riding of the Marches Ball – 7pm at the County Buildings – all tickets sold
