Marie Curie is urging local residents to get together with family and friends between June 20 and 29 and organise a Blooming Great Tea Party to raise funds for Marie Curie, the charity which provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness.
In Newton Stewart on Tuesday, June 23, popular Victoria Street cafe Brew Ha Ha! will be hosting an all-day ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ fundraiser for Marie Curie.
Owner Jennifer Turnbull said: “Everything on the day will be the menu price plus a donation to the charity.”
So make time to call in to Brew Ha Ha! next Tuesday and support this worthwhile cause.
The funds raised from Blooming Great Tea Party will help Marie Curie Nurses care for more people living with a terminal illness in their own homes in Dumfries and Galloway.
George Dickson, Community Fundraiser in Dumfries and Galloway said: “Holding your own Blooming Great Tea Party is really easy to do. Whether you hold it at home, at work or somewhere locally it’s a fun way to get together with friends and support your local Marie Curie Nurses and people living with a terminal illness.”
Last year across the UK the Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie raised £667,000, which pays for 33,350 hours of vital nursing care.
