Thirty two scouts and leaders from Minnigaff and Gatehouse scout troops have recently returned from a week-long Jamboree in Northern Ireland.
Over 1000 scouts from all over the UK and Ireland were camping at Crawfordsburn near Belfast. They were twinned with Westchurch Scouts from Ballymena, who were wonderful hosts throughout the week. The weather was fantastic, with only a brief rain shower the whole week. The scouts had the chance to undertake traditional scouting skills such as pioneering, orienteering and backwoods cooking. In addition there were trips exploring Armagh and Belfast, discos, talent shows, zip wires, obstacles courses and rafting.
