A film company are casting for Ruadhan the Bard, a feature film that is due to be shot in and around the Isle of Whithorn this June.
produced by Trangressive North, a Arts community based in Edinburgh and starring Norman Maclean, Sheila Stewart and Margaret Bennett, the film will feature leading talent from the Scottish folk scene, amongst a new generation of young Scottish talent. There are still roles to be filled that are suitable for people of all ages, and the first of the open casting sessions in the area will take place on Monday, May 8, upstairs at the Whithorn Story Visitors Centre from 10am until 5pm.
Anisha Fields from the casting company said: “ These are informal auditions, everyone is welcome to drop in and find out more about the film.
“We’d also like to take on two trainees between the ages of 16-25 for three weeks this June, who would gain experience in camera, production, or production design and get the chance to take part in a professional film shoot.
