The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued the recall, with customers asked to return the item to the store where it was purchased.
Which product is affected?
The recall applies to the Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry Cereal for babies aged seven months and above.

The affected pack size is 200g and has a best before date of 7 July 2021.
In a statement, the FSA said, “We are recalling the one batch of Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry Cereal 7+ months (200g) because some packs have been found to contain small pieces of the blue plastic material used to make the packaging.
“The blue plastic is clearly visible in contrast to the cereal.
“If you have fed your baby from one of the packs without noticing any pieces, it is very likely that your pack was not affected.
“No other batches of this product or any other Aptamil products are affected.”
Advice to customers
Customers who have purchased the affected product are advised not to feed it to their baby.
Instead, it should be returned from the store where it was bought, with or without a receipt, for a full refund.
Alternatively, you can contact the Aptamil careline number on 0800 996 1000 or via the website.
