Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre supporters have been enjoying walks across the region to celebrate the centre’s tenth birthday.
Unfortunately, the celebrations were hit by the bad weather in March, when the snow forced the seaside splash at Garlieston to be postponed until Sunday, April 28.
It was a great success and £174.37 was donated to support the work of the centre in rehoming mistreated, abandoned and unwanted dogs.
Wigtownshire’s Brenda Crewe, with rescue hounds Angel and Lucy, and Pat Bond, with spaniel Angus, said farewell to the centre’s mascot collie, Herbert, after their seaside ramble.
Thanks to everyone (human and canine) who made all the walks so enjoyable and showed such support for the plight of rescue dogs.
