Cracking good fun at Easter egg hunts

Two local visitor attractions are staging fun-filled egg hunts for Easter.

The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) has teamed-up with chocolate specialists Cadbury for hunts at Threave Gardens and Broughton House in Kirkudbright.

Events at Broughton House and Gardens, once the home of artist E.A. Hornel, are from noon until 4.30 between Friday. March 25 and Monday, March 28.

At Threave, which boasts a secret garden, hunts are on the same days as Broughton House but between 10.30 am and 4pm. At both venues the normal admission is payable plus £1 for the hunt.

Carly Lamberty, marketing manager with the National Trust for Scotland, said ; “We are getting cracking on our visitor season extra early this year with lots of Easter fun thanks to our partnership with Cadbury.

“And every egg hunt helps us to look after the special places in our care.”

The NTS is one of Scotland’s leading conservation charities and relies on the financial support of its members and donors.
