Now that the clocks have changed and the days are getting longer, many people are looking for a new look for their home or their wardrobe. Is it time for a spring clear out?
Blythswood Care welcomes donations of clothing, books, bric a brac, shoes, toys and small items of furniture in good condition.
The Blythswood Care Collection lorry will make its monthly visit to Galloway on Thursday 9th April calling at
Newton Stewart and Stranraer.
The lorry will call at Riverside Car Park, Newton Stewart from 1.00-1.30pm; and Morrison’s, Stranraer from 2.15-2.45pm. Copies of the latest schedule can be requested from 0141 882 0585 or found on the website at www.blythswood.org. There are no longer monthly collections at Moffat, Lockerbie, Annan, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright or Glenluce, but a special collection will take place in November for the Shoe Box Appeal.
All donated items are processed by Blythswood Care. Most are sold in Blythswood Care shops but some may be sent abroad, such as knitted goods. Food in tins or packets is distributed through foodbanks operated by Blythswood. For further information, please go to the website, blythswood.org or contact Hillington depot on 0141 882 0585.
Blythswood Care would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the Round Scotland Collection. There is as much need for donated goods as ever to ensure that Blythswood Care can continue to benefit vulnerable children and adults in Europe, Asia and Africa, and to operate food banks and a rehabilitation centre in Scotland.
