Health Secretary is set to host today's daily press briefing.
He will be joined by Public Health England’s director of health protection Prof Yvonne Doyle and NHS England’s national medical director Stephen Powis.
Spike in sewer call outs due to use of toilet roll substitutes
Water companies have recorded a dramatic rise in call-outs to sewer flooding and blockages due to the use of "toilet roll substitutes"
Severn Trent Water said it had received 3,000 reports of sewer blockages in a fortnight - mainly due to kitchen roll.
The company described its workload as "much busier than usual".
Scottish Water also said it had seen a high number of sewage blockages - recording 1,343 between March 16 and March 30.
73 prisoners have tested positive for Covid-19
A total of 73 inmates have tested positive for coronavirus in 27 prisons, as of 5pm on Wednesday, the Ministry of Justice said.
Some 15 prison staff have tested positive for Covid-19 in nine prisons, as well as four prisoner escort and custody services staff.
Woman investigated for illegaly trying to film inside hospital
A woman is being investigated after she confronted staff at a hospital and tried to film them.
South Yorkshire Police say they are aware of the video and have launched an investigation.
