The exams took place at Castle Douglas and 24 pupils sat various exams from highland, national, jig, hornpipes and choreographed awards, in total completing 71 different exams between them.

All the dancers worked hard and achieved their individual targets, all exams were passed with brilliant grades and comments from the examiner. The girls received certificates and medals for their successes at the annual awards night. The awards were presented by their very proud teacher, Paula.

In June, the class completed a 12 hour dance-a-thon to raise funds for new dancewear. They raised just over £1200 from friends, families and community supporters, a big thank you to all who helped and supported them.

The dancers are continuing to fundraise and seek donations/sponsorship so we can attend the Highland Dance Gathering at Disneyland, Paris in November 2016.
