Gala night at Creetown

Creetown Gala Committee is holding a fund-raising event in the Waverley Hall on Easter Saturday, April 7, with all money going towards the Christmas lights appeal.

The committee is delighted to be able to present the much-acclaimed Classic Hits Show from Dumfries and Galloway-based Men With Hats.

“I was lucky to catch the band recently at a sell-out concert in Dalbeattie and was really impressed,” committee member Robert Ross told The Galloway Gazette.

“It’s a real attraction for Creetown and I hope that everyone gets behind this big effort to improve our Christmas lights. It will be a great occasion and we hope to sell out.”

The show features music from Tamla-Motown, the Beach Boys, ELO, Shania Twain, Take That and many others from the 1950s onwards. Unique arrangements, vocal harmonies and four skilled musicians make for a great musical experience. If you enjoy pop and rock performed with panache, this show is for you.

Seats are great value for money at just £5 and are available from the newsagent, St John’s Street, Creetown, from Robert Ross on 01671 820531 and from committee members. There are refreshments and a raffle.
