NEXT Friday, March 16, sees a great night out in Newton Stewart – and all in a good cause.
Newton Stewart 41 Club is holding a charity Scottish/Burns night. This is a great chance for ladies to take their husband/partner out for a very enjoyable and inexpensive night.
The evening is themed around Burns but on the lighter side and threre are three speakers arranged and music throughout the evening.
The price of a ticket is only £15, which includes a traditional Burns meal of a haggis, tatties and neeps starter, a main course of steak pie and an Ecclefechan tart for dessert, as well as the speakers and music.
The charity the evening is raising money for is Roundtable Children’s Wish. This is a small, national charity that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Its aim is to bring a little bit of magic into their lives by creating some special moments and memories.
For anyone who would like to go along and support Newton Stewart 41 Club, there are 60 tickets on sale and only 20 left. Tickets are available from either the Belted Galloway or the Galloway Arms Hotel in Newton Stewart.
