THE British Drifting Championships are heading to Knockhill at the end of the month for its finale and The Galloway Gazette are giving you the chance to be part of the action.
All enthusiasts and modifiers, Streetcar Scotland and the British Drifting Championship are all heading to Scotland’s race course on 29th & 30th September where there will be semi-pro, pro and super professional drifting action with star drifters including Luney, Biagioni, Carter and of course, Irish star Shane Lynch.
The Knockhill Drift circuit is widely regarded as one of the most challenging in the UK. Cars enter the first corner section at speeds in excess of 100mph and have to cope with steep downhill undulations and sharp transitions to successfully navigate the track.
Saturday is dedicated to the British Drifting Championships. All the competitors will be on-track for practice, qualifying and heats. Irish star Shane Lynch will be back to see if he can win at Knockhill having come close last year. Expect plenty of tyre screeching and burning rubber.
Sunday is all action at Streetcar Scotland. The British Drifting boys will be back on track tackling the ferocious SEAT Curve drifting circuit. There will also be plenty of off track action with car clubs, trade stands, competitions and show cars.
With free Drifting and Drag racing at lunchtime this is an event not to be missed.
You can win two family passes to this event on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September worth £38 each.
