Kirkcudbright Club held its annual commemorative shoot on Sunday, July 14, in sunny if rather breezy conditions and with a turn out of 23 guns.
The competition consisted of two events of 25 birds each and at the end of the day top gun was the club captain, Willie Little, of Twynholm, on 145. The runner-up was young David McMath of Castle Douglas on 143, but only after a shoot-off with Colin Maxwell of Kirkcudbright.
On the side trap, the winners were: 1. Darren Owen of Anwoth, 2. Peter Domenichelli of Dumfries, 3. Tommy Galashan of Whauphill.
