There is a full fixture list of South of Scotland League matches scheduled to be played this Saturday.
League leaders Newton Stewart host Mid-Annandale at Blairmount Park and with the home side still unbeaten in the league the Creesiders will start as favourites to add another three points to their impressive tally. The Lockerbie side though usually produce a performance at Blairmount and are more than capable of giving Newton a run for their money in what could be a fairly even match.
Second placed Lochar Thistle have Wigtown and Bladnoch breathing down their necks and this weekend the two sides meet at Maxwelltown High School. This is another match that could go close with the result maybe having an impact of where the destination of the championship ends up this season.
Creetown seem to have turned the corner and have a very useful set of players in their ranks but may well have to be at their best for the visit from Upper Annandale who themselves have shown that they can be a match for most South teams.
Crichton play St Cuthbert Wanderers and this contest could well see a share of the points between the two teams while Dumfries YMCA will not look forward to the visit of Edusport Academy.
Heston Rovers travel to Gatehouse to play Fleet Star for what could be a good match with both teams capable of taking the three points although the visitors could start the match as slight favourites.
The Draw for the semi-finals of the J Haig Gordon Cup was made last weekend and matches up Newton Stewart against Crichton at Blairmount and Wigtown and Bladnoch against Fleet Star at Trammondford Park. Both matches will be played on Saturday 29th November, 2014 with 3pm and 2pm kick-offs respectively.
