Galloway Thistle have been presented with the league shield which they received seven weeks after winning the D&G Under-13s Youth League.
League chairman Lee Sterritt presented the trophy to the boys at their player of the year presentation at Newton Stewart Bowling Centre.

Overall young player and overall player both went to Dyllan Parlane.
The club were also presented with a fair play award from Newton Stewart’s newest shop, Bloomin Lovely, in recognition of being the only team out of all three leagues to go all season without a single yellow or red card.
Sponsors for the trophies were Newton Stewart & District Round Table, Royal Bank of Scotland, Fire Protection Engineering Services Ltd, Martyn Orr Plumbing & Heating, Bloomin Lovely, R Burnett Electrical, John Drysdale Builders, the Co-operative, and the Hughes, Adair, Parlane and Penrose families along with Mr & Mrs Stuart Cluckie.
At the end of this great event the parents took on the Thistle boys at bowling and it was the parents who came out on top with a 3-1 victory. Well done to all this year’s Thistle teams and let’s hope next year sees some more trophies to join the league and league cup won by the Under-13s over the past two seasons.
